The Add-on Store has Launched!

An official add-on marketplace was one of our goals when we made ExpressionEngine free open-source software. We’re happy to announce that today the ExpressionEngine Add-on Store is officially open!
We’ve been working on the launch with a couple dozen of the community’s best developers. The add-on marketplace is already full of first-class tools that make building ExpressionEngine sites even easier and more fun! From e-commerce to templating to SEO to forms, email, social integrations and more.
Having an official marketplace is long overdue, and should now make it easier to discover reliable add-ons. It also allows vendors to have a market reach that’s not available anywhere else.
Over the rest of this year we will be growing the store, adding new functionality for vendors. But most importantly, we will continue to improve the discovery and purchasing experience for customers. When we match customers’ needs to developers’ innovation, it’s a win for the entire ecosystem. In-app purchases are the end goal, so in the future this will be available right inside your ExpressionEngine control panel. For now we have created a simple and fun to use marketplace available on the web.
We’re now inviting all third-party developers who have add-ons that are compatible with ExpressionEngine 5 to apply.
