Running EE 7.4.10, and seem to have a problem where every entry that has autosaved data, I can’t make changes to and save. The save button doesn’t go to its “saving…” state, and nothing happens. Anyone else experiencing this? Very frustrating; having to go into the database and manually update entries :(
Hrm- it sounds to me like it might be throwing a validation error- maybe? But that would typically disable the save button entirely.
Definitely not making any sense to me. In which case, take a look at your extensions- you can debug them in Utilities- might be something in play there.
But in general, I’d say it’s a case for a closer look- if it’s possible to grant superadmin access to the site, send an email to support@expressionengine.com with the info and we can take a closer look.

Had nothing to do with the auto-saved entries; it just so happened that the form was auto-saving when it was failing.
The problem is that the entries already existed, but later down the line we added more required fields.
Annoyingly, because those fields are in another tab instead of “Publish”, there was no error or anything visual to say that this was the problem. Even when I look in said custom tab, the fields weren’t highlighted to signify an error. I just happened to notice they were blank and required… put some values in, et voila! Save worked again.
Would be a nice improvement in future versions if there was some kind of visual form validation for all tabs 😊
